America Is a Banana Republic|| Not a Democratic Republic|
JFK's assassination prompted some Americans to examine closely the entire structure of American power and we found incontrovertible evidence that a Demonic Cabal had taken over the United States in the early years of the twentieth century. They had seized all the political, financial, and social structures of power.
The Demonic Cabal Retained the Trappings of Democracy
But the cabal had not been able to destroy all the elements of democracy in one fell swoop. Struggling against the cabal, progressive Americans gained rights for women and minorities, and Franklin Roosevelt created Social Security, which meant that for the first time in history, Americans could face old age without fear. The cabal co-opted most of the progressive initiatives--such as the anti-Vietnam war effort--and retained just enough of the trappings of democracy to fool unthinking people into thinking that America was still a legitimate republic.
Few Americans recognized that there had been a coup d'etat in 2000, with Jeb Bush and the Supreme Court appointing Dubya President. We must realize that the cabal now selects both Democratic and Republican candidates, so the electoral system is no longer viable. We must awaken to the political, economic, and terrorist atrocities now being perpetrated by the cabal's new con-man, 1 Barack Obama. The cabal-controlled government is perpetrating false-flag terrorist attacks on its own people--again.
It's now clear for the world to see that the last vestige of American democracy has been destroyed by the criminal cabal! In 2008 the cabal placed in the presidency their con-man Barack Obama, fooling many Americans into thinking that they now had elected a progressive leader in sympathy with the people. The cabal has seized all power sectors: the executive, legislative, and judicial. America is now a full-fledged Banana Republic.
"Democracy is the noblest form of government we have yet evolved, and we may as well begin to ask ourselves whether we are ready to suffer, even perish, for it rather than preparing ourselves to live in the lower existence of a monumental banana republic with a government always eager to cater to mega-corporations as they do their best to appropriate our thwarted dreams with their elephantiastical conceits."
Norman Mailer, Address to the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco, 2/20/03
The Progressive Agenda
So what are the progressive peoples of the world going to do about it? We're first going to face the full reality of our situation--America is unquestionably an imperialistic, militaristic, police state (banana republic). We're not going to waste our time in idle chatter--as so many self-proclaimed "democrats" and "liberals" are now doing--about how we must adopt all the tactics of the conservatives and Republicans.
Any source not contesting the 2000 and 2004 stolen elections and exposing Obama as a con-man cannot lead our ongoing struggle for genuine democracy in America. If a person or a group does not acknowledge that the cabal has put a process in place to steal all future elections and is perpetrating economic and terrorist atrocities, then they're blind to the loss of democratic process in the U.S.--and can't help us work to regain democracy and create a commonwealth polity.
"The first business of anyone who practices philosophy is to get rid of self-conceit. For it is impossible to begin to learn that which he thinks he already knows." Epictetus (1st century C.E. Greek philosopher)
We must realize that the criminal cabal will go to any extreme of depraved behavior--as it has engaged in atrocities since it took power:
- Creating two world wars, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam Police Action to reap huge profits (Dubya's grandfather helping to set up Hitler's Nazi regime)
- Assassinating an American President (Kennedy)
- Planning and carrying out the 9/11 atrocity through their Bush puppet regime (via the Bush-Saudi connection)
- Lying to the American people to force us into a pre-emptive war against Iraq
- Passing the Patriot Act to decimate U.S. Constitutional rights
We're going to make it clear to progressive peoples worldwide that though many Americans have allowed themselves to be completely taken in by the cabal--there are many Americans who are not brain-dead!
Progressive thinkers throughout the world recognize that this overthrow of the U.S. by an international cabal is not just an American crisis, but an alarm for freedom-loving people everywhere. America has always stood as the bastion of constitutional rights. This beacon of hope to the world's peoples must not be extinguished--no matter what it takes. We must enlist the aid of people throughout the world who recognize the evil now stalking America and the globe.
We must gain energizing insight from our national history as to just how this cabal has captured the minds of a large number of Americans to the point where it now feels that it will never have to relinquish its destructive power. Grover Norquist, the radical reactionary who planned some of the Bush junta's "conservative" onslaughts against democracy, said that the Congressional Democrats must now recognize that they are merely neutered house-pets. In actuality, Grover didn't go far enough: both Democrats and Republicans in the House and Senate are bought-and-paid-for house-pets of the capitalist corporations!
The criminal cabal seized the financial control system in America in 1913 with the creation of the Federal Reserve System, a completely private financial corporation--it's never been publicly audited, for example.
American citizens had to be programmed for this new fascist--banana republic--form of tyranny, so the U.S. school system was taken over by this same criminal cabal.
The United States has a legacy of a wide range of freedoms, more than any other country in the world, primarily because of the Bill of Rights that the common people forced on the capitalist class early in our nation's history. In our struggle to complete the American Revolution, we must use this legacy to our advantage. The cabal will probably have to keep up some semblance of democratic rule, for fear that the overwhelming majority of Americans will rise up against this fascist dictatorship.
The criminal cabal is largely in control in the United States, but they must still pay some attention to the people, to make sure they don't get too discontented and activated. We're in a race to see how rapidly the cabal can turn American citizens into brain-dead reactionaries and how much we can help people wake up to what's happening in America and the world. As long as America retains some vital remnants of a democratic republic, we must do whatever is necessary to safeguard them.
"When bad men combine,
the good must associate;
else they will fall, one by one."
A similar cabal tried to turn the United States into a banana republic in the 1790s. Jefferson, Madison, and progressive Americans throughout the nation were finally able to defeat them. The fascistic Federalist Party was utterly destroyed. That can happen again--to the current treasonous Republican party. To have stolen the 2004 election and put in place a system to steal subsequent elections is one of the vilest acts of treason any party could perpetrate!
A hallmark of a banana republic is that the junta controls the press and lies with impunity to the people. In any true democracy, cabal-puppets such as Clinton, Dubya, or Obama would be impeached--for high crimes and misdemeanors, but the cabal-owned media have destroyed the safeguard of an American free press. If you have any doubt that the media are now mere propaganda arms of the cabal, see the outstanding video: "Outfoxed."
"We are now finally no better than a backwater banana republic . . . are the Belgian peacekeepers on their way? Hurry!"
Michael Moore, Stupid White Men
In an insightful article, Mike Hersh makes it clear that "There is no media.""What masquerades as a free press is largely the propaganda arm of the right wing of the Republican Party. Few brave souls still present the news in a balanced way. Most of them are "opinion" writers like Paul Krugman, Joe Conason and Molly Ivins.
"Few liberals get to speak out on television - where most Americans get their 'news.' When they do, it's on 'roundtable shows' where right wingers shout down their comments. Bill O'Reilly, Joe Scarborough and other rabid right wingers pontificate without any counterbalance."
"The Mass Media Serves the Right Wing Agenda."
Our current situation is similar to that which American patriots faced in the 1770s: a country ruled by "foreign" and "domestic" plutocratic powers and a divided citizenry unaware of their vital interests.
Unlike the first Americans who fought militarily to win their freedom against British oppression, it would be idiotic to use violence in our present struggle to create a New America where the well-being of all its citizens is the common goal. The criminal cabal (power elite) controls armed violence--military, intelligence agencies, police--in the United States and throughout the world. And, as we've seen in such foreign incursions as Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, the Persian Gulf and Panama and domestic incursions such as Waco and Ruby Ridge, it does not hesitate to use violence against anyone it brands as an enemy.
Individual attacks against the power structure are not only futile but against the very principles of our current democratic struggle for an improved social order, as leaders throughout the years have made clear.Contrary to the contentions of those who embrace aggression, nonviolence is not merely pacifism or self-destructive passivity. Nonviolence as practiced by millions in India, the American Civil Rights movement and the anti-Vietnam War Movement accomplished a great deal. When nonviolent protestors are arrested it is something more than mere submission and represents a challenge to illegitimate authority.
Activists in the international progressive movement understand that they must work within the framework of the law as much as possible and resort to nonviolent civil disobedience--as Thoreau and Gandhi did--only when necessary. Otherwise we destroy the very fabric of society we are attempting to preserve.
Nonviolent protestors within the movement do not engage in any type of property destruction or assaults on police. Some advocates of violence preach the sophistry that property destruction and assaults on police do not constitute violence, because, they argue, protestors should not adhere to the same definitions as the corporate media and the state.
While it is true that in many instances the police are increasingly becoming merely the hired thugs of the Bush junta, that does not justify throwing rocks or Molotov cocktails at them in "self-defense."
"Peace cannot be achieved through violence, it can only be attained through understanding."
So if we cannot--and should not--use violence to recreate America, what viable means do we have at our disposal in our struggle toward liberty and justice? We must first develop a UNITED taskforce composed of American and world progressive activists who understand the general principles and particulars of the operations of the world power elite and how to fight against them. This activist citizen taskforce must develop a broad-based, activist agenda to combat the ongoing depredations of the criminal cabal. Beyond just responding to specific horrors as they occur, we must have a general program, a plan for reforming America and other countries. This program would have to be developed by the persons who join in this united effort, not beforehand by a coterie of theorists or self-appointed leaders. Paulo Freire is correct, revolutionary agendas must be the creation of all the people involved based on their understanding of the crises that face us at the time.
Today there are myriad individuals and groups who are fighting on multiple fronts: election reform, environmental issues, boycotts, corporate crime, and government corruption, to name just a few. Many of these individuals and groups are doing an outstanding job. Where would we be now without the courageous past and present efforts of our genuine progressive leaders.
But we lack a united front. We have not developed a true solidarity based on shared principles, priorities, and strategies.
Joann Wypijewski's article "A Stirring in the Land" (The Nation, 9/8/97) makes clear that activist efforts are splintered and that replicating local activist campaigns will not begin to solve the larger social problems.
"Even if [local campaigns were] replicated 500 times they would not begin to attack the core problems of homelessness or joblessness or insecurity or the vast disparity between wealth and poverty, though they would create the illusion that something is being done, that the system delivers; it, too, 'works.'"
"Not infrequently, revolutionaries themselves become reactionary by falling into sectarianism in the process of responding to the sectarianism of the Right. [The oppressed peoples'] vision of the new man is individualistic; because of their identification with the oppressor, they have no consciousness of themselves as persons or as members of an oppressed class."
Paulo Freire, Pedagogy of the Oppressed)
We work in our isolated groups: a liberal journal writing about the destruction of civil rights through the new "security" legislation , an e-magazine exposing the wars on Iraq and Afghanistan as a new oil imperialism, a former civil rights worker writing an indignant letter about the Obama administration to The Nation, numerous alternative Web sites voicing opposition to the escalating police state attacks on civil liberties.
We assume we are doing something to improve the world through our disunited efforts, but the crisis worsens as democracy is destroyed at the corrupted polls, hundreds of thousands more workers world-wide are thrown out of work or are forced into jobs incapable of sustaining a bare subsistence, as the very fiber of our society is changed into a police state. As Marilyn Waring has the courage to say in her powerful tape, Sex, Lies and Global Economics, we are literally at war!
The criminal cabal has managed to balkanize America and other nations, dividing citizens into competing groups based on so-called moral values, ethnicity, gender, age, and special interests. We must unite to have any chance to defeat this monolithic force.
"The world's power structures have always 'divided to conquer' and have always 'kept divided to keep conquered.' As a consequence the power structure has so divided humanity--not only into special function categories but into religious and language and color categories--that individual humans are now helplessly inarticulate in the face of the present crisis. They consider their political representation to be completely corrupted, therefore, they feel almost utterly helpless." R. Buckminster Fuller, (1981), Critical Path
Even within the indispensable radical, anti-war, anti-cabal Internet community, there remains an excessive and debilitating competitiveness: each "news" digest Web site and each liberal writer competing to be the one to get the breaking story out first. Each activist group competes for attention to be given to its particular initiative. Such individuals and groups have actually adopted the basic ideology of the criminal cabal: monetarist egomania, in which money is seen to be the ultimate value against which all humans are measured and individuals must compete in a dog-eat-dog fashion to prove their personal superiority, to the point of becoming obsessed with their own self-interest no matter its effect on others.
Our Unified, Activist, Progressive Movement must get beyond all this self-serving action. We must create a broad-based, all-encompassing organization with which to fight the Bush junta. Divided, we do not have sufficient power to make the kind of impact we must if we're going to defeat the criminal cabal and its Bush II puppet regime.
This idea of an activist citizen-based organization will be understood by and appeal to only those persons of a critical consciousness who have a broader interest in trying to improve their world. We must create an organization to fight for the rights of all world citizens, recognizing that we are involved in more than a comfortable college debate--that we are struggling for our very lives.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem possible to use a specific activist organizations, such as Common Cause, Move-On, or Campaign for America's Future, as the focal point for an integrated initiative such as I'm suggesting in this article, because they each have a competing agenda. Thus the need for the creation of a Unified Activist Citizens' Taskforce as the spearhead for taking back our country.
This newly-formed umbrella organization will need to collaborate with a number of currently active groups. The taskforce I'm outlining should serve as a focal point for broad-based support from many individuals and groups so it can develop the combined power to speak from a position of strength on critical issues.
Taskforce participants will need to carry out diverse actions: boycotts, refusal to cross picket lines, campaigns against specific public officials who merit special opprobrium, and perhaps even a general strike, among many others.
The organization should address the interests of as many groups as possible: gender rights, ethnic rights, consumer rights, civil rights, reproductive rights, environmental protection, anti-war efforts, etc. In this way it can represent the consensus of a broad-based coalition. No one person should be seen as the spokesperson for the organization, though there would necessarily be those who are most active in the organization's development and operations and provide needed leadership.
The organization would have to develop the kind of political savvy necessary to avoid being preempted, smeared, or radicalized into violent extremism. While avoiding stridency and militancy, such a group would inevitably draw attention to itself. The taskforce members would need to learn how to operate intelligently and effectively in this bizarre and dangerous world of plutocratic despotism.
As Howard Zinn has shown in A People's History of the United States,"The American system is the most ingenious system of control in world history. With a country so rich in natural resources, talent, and labor power the system can afford to distribute just enough to just enough people to limit discontent to a troublesome minority. It is a country so powerful, so big, so pleasing to so many of its citizens that it can afford to give freedom of dissent to the small number who are not pleased. How wise to turn the fear and anger of the majority toward a class of criminals bred - by economic inequity - faster than they can be put away, deflecting attention from the huge thefts of national resources carried out within the law by men in executive offices."

You can make a difference by becoming a taskforce organizer and participant. Your unique experience can be very helpful in assisting the taskforce to understand what needs to be done from your perspective.
Some people believe that my hypothesis about America being ruled by a cabal since the beginning of the twentieth century is too controversial and risks losing the average reader. On the contrary, I think we must now look at the full reality of our present social-political-economic-religious situation--and discover new ways to work against this NEW AMERICAN DICTATORSHIP.
What clearly has happened now is that the cabal selects both the Republican and Democratic presidential candidates and inserts its puppet into the presidency. When a citizenry no longer has the power to vote in a fair election and choose a leader who will represent its interests, democracy has ceased to exist.
The hypothesis of a Cabal controlling America has now received astounding underpinning by the 2008 election and the empowerment of Obama the con-man. At present, this theory of a Plutocratic Cabal 2 is supported by more evidence than any alternative hypothesis. The most pressing need is for thinking workers worldwide to develop a commonwealth community.
"None are more hopelessly enslaved than
those who falsely believe they are free."
